    Are there any notes about on the settings used on Xtr. Bought it on the weekend and am having trouble flying. Is it mainly the radio settings needed?

    I believe mixing needs to be turned off on the TX

      Once you have calibrated the radio and assigned the channels it should use all your tx's settings, make sure the jack plug is properly seated as sometimes it can come half way out and cause odd control.

          Hi Ray
          When I start the heli motor is running at full throttle. Can't seem to find idle switch. If I pull the throttle down completely the motor cuts and I have to reset the sim. I have looked at the parameters on the sim and can't see anything much there. I suspect it is a radio setting problem?

          P.S. Like the picture. Who's the guy on the left?

            sounds like you need to check the channel assignments and calibration. What tx are you using?

              Hi Mack
              Look out for the "transmitter mixing" option under "Model" and then "Model Parameters". It took me a while to figure out why it wasn't doing what the curves in the transmitter was telling it. I've ticked the transmitter mixing box and the tail rotor active box and un-ticked the RPM controlling box. This last one will allow the heli to idle in Normal mode as opposed to racing. It made it more like the real thing. You can hover in Normal mode then switch to idle-up and do your 3D that we all learnt at the weekend . I found this helped me for setting up the radio as well.

              Then, turn everything on and centre all the sticks, trims etc. Go to "Radio" - "Assign channels" and follow the prompts. That should sort out your directions etc. You don't need to set everything (there is plane settings on the same window) just hit OK when your done with the heli settings.

              Regards
              Cheers, Lee.

                using the automatic setup thing in reflex will sometimes assign the throttle to collective and collective to throttle which can make things a little interesting.

                  Thanks Ade, I forgot that one.
                  You can manually set the channel by clicking the box to "help" XTR on it's way.
                  Cheers,

                    Hi Ade and Leebert
                    The Tx is a FF9. I will follow the reply's from above and give it another go. The OH is not happy with me, I haven't given it a rest since I got it!!

                      My setting are
                      Tail Rotor = 4 +
                      Elevator = 2 -
                      Aileron = 1 +
                      Pitch = 3 -
                      Autorotation = 7 +

                        madray, with your transmitter you should have throttle on 3 and pitch on 6 or it will give you issues when you start flying upside down using idleups.

                          That sounds like Reflex needing "help". Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't.

                          Set the throttle and pitch channel manually by clicking the numbered box. You might need to set the reverse (+ - button) as well.

                          Cheers,
