I think flying in the wind, apart from being neccessary in our country, is a good way of improving, as all the time your having to work the sticks to get a steady hover rather than on a calm day it just sitting there.
Its amazing how many seasoned pilots wont even start their engines on a blowy day, well done looks like your making an excellent start. keep at it
Very nice ... Ya cant beat learning in the wind as its the UK we live in and its part of life lol ... I learnt in the wind as well and it felt wierd the first time I flew with no wind ... Now I just take the helis out and if the trees are sorta straight then I will fly lol ... Means I get to fly alot more than most of them and to see the people at the field with the planes on the floor not flying and we take off with helis always brings a smile to my face ...

Yeah, the next step of course is waterproofing the heli electrics, getting some kind of oversized raincoat with a clear plastic veranda for the TX and just imagine how many more flying days.

watching your super vid' brought back good memories when I started to fly, and those first nervous hovers, but thrilling nevertheless.
Phoenix training in harsh conditions made my first experimental flights seem a little strange at first, as I was expecting a battle from months of training on the PC.
Just wait until you gain more experience and confidence and those training legs come off, it's always a little scary at first but makes a huge difference.
Great work fella, just watch out for those strong gusts, a stiff wind is one thing, but a gust will flip her right over if in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Excellent effort all round.
