The tail gear box is fine, but i connect mine at the front from the tail to the motor mount, also make sure you remove any anodising from the boom before screwing to it.
    Thx Ross

pic 2 you have it connected through the boom clamp, i personally wouldnt put it there, thats why i had a problem with mine. Not enough contact with boom as its going through plastic boom clamp. Best to put it directly in the boom at the point it exits the clamp, and as others have said put it in the motor mount rather than the negative.

Best to earth to the motor mount.

If the boom clamp pin conducts now it should be good to go, it's how I'll be converting mine soon as Mikado are now recommending that the Logo boom is pinned. Saves you having to drill two holes in the tail boom too.

Always check conductivity between the tail shaft and the motor shaft - it should conduct.

My 500 boom's been pinned for a long time through that hole, no chance of slipage. When i had anti static on mine i went from the boom (just behind the frame) to the motor mount & from the motor mount to the esc neg. This at the time was the recomended way as per HF & on here from Tosh (never met him but never forgotten) & ivorbiggin etc but now it's not recomended to come off the esc neg. However i had no issues with it like this & nor have i since i ditched it all.
