Default Tell where I should put it !

Hi guys - my Logo 400 SE build is still proceeding (very slowly due to other commitments!). Just wondering where you guys would suggest I mount my spektrum rx and the little remote receiver?

Doesn't seem to be much mention in the manual regarding electronics other than a picture showing the esc mounted on it's side above the battery and the mini vbar just above the tail boom.

with the frames the way they are there doesn't seem to be a lot of other spots for placing extra bits of electronic!

could some kind soul post a pic of how they have fixed all their electronic?

    many thanks guys!

    J

Thanks for those pics P4ddy - are they all 400's? I don't have enough room to put the AR6200 RX next to the Mini v-bar on the top of the tail boom, and I also don't have enough room inside the frame at the back next to the tail servo (which is a std size Savox)....all I can think of doing it mounting the RX on the outside of the frame just below the lower bolts that fix the tail boom in, and then run the remote RX round the other side of the frame.

How important it is to mount the vbar in the centre of the 'gyro tray' area? is it OK to mount it up against one side?

perhaps I'll post a pic of my suggested layout to see what you guys think !

    cheers

ok - this is what I was thinking of (not, they are just held in place at the moment with a bit of sellotape...that'll be good enough for 3D won't it? )

    logo 400 vbar and RX.JPG

[ok, I was joking about using sellotape....I'm not that daft. I'm going to use blu-tak when I'm done...]

Your rx is fine on the side, my Ar7000 sits on one side & the satelite on the other on my Logo 500. Vbar to one side is not a problem. Oh yes all pics 400

well, I did think about 2 sats, but I have 1 DSM2 sat at the moment - and I didn't think you could mix DSM2 and DSMX sats?

also - I'm sure I read somewhere that without a full RX you might not know if one of the sats had failed...and if the 2nd one then went some time later...you'd be stuffed (or your model would anyway

ah - I see you have the gyro right down at the bottom rather than on top of the boom - is that to make it less likely to suffer from vibes?

No, i've had it on top aswell before. It's back on the bottom now because at the time i had an AR6200 on the top.

I'd really think twice before putting the fbl unit on the tail case (top)
Trex 600 EFL Pro DFC - AR7200BX FOR SWAP
    Gaui X5 - SK720
    Trex 450 Pro DFC - HC3SX
