I fully understand crashing is part of the hobby, and given that, common sense tell me to try and minimise the risk of damaging expensive bits as far as possible. Why wouldn't you?
I did, but that didn't stop it from ripping my vbar apart. Now if I'd have hung it out the back somewhere it would have been fine as the tail wasn't touched. But then again there was the time it went in tail first and that destroyed everything at the back. Oh damn what do I do now, front or back? Damn, I wish I knew how I was going to crash next time then I could make sure everything was safe....!

    Sorry couldn't resist.

Agree mate, not saying you can eliminate the risk of things getting damaged all together, but you can reduce the chances.

I could walk around London with my wallet in my back pocket all day, but to avoid someone lifting it I choose to put it in my inside pocket. It could still get lifted or I could get mugged.

Or I could accept the fact the pick pocketing happens and leave it my back pocket. ????????

Worth getting it checked out. Just had mine returned to me and all is well but had a unit a year or so ago that seemed fine but was DOA.
