Default Am I trying too hard?

Okay, so I've been making steady progress with my 450 and have been practicing inverted circuits on my mcpx and inverted hovering on my 450. Now I still do some 8's and flips to break it up but now I seem to have got into the habit of inverted controls when I'm not inverted which has resulted in me slamming the 450 into the deck nose first twice in the space of just 4 packs. Am I focussing my attention too much?

Could be, Bob. I dumb-thumbed my 450 3D into the deck the day after spending the previous evening practicing nose-in hovering. Instinct said stick right, brain said stick left and I listened to my brain and lamped in sideways. Was new blades, feathering shaft and main gear

    So yes, you could be.

Stay with right way up for a bit. You are doing some difficult stuff. You can only work out your pace by the crashes, except for the saves, too many saves means a crash may be close, unless you are lucky enough to stop having to do saves. I had a similar problem doing nose in commands when I was nose out. It sorts itself out given time.

I did go through a similar thing when I spent so much time inverted. To be honest i think you just have to try new things and then put in at least some time doing the old stuff. I think it does feel as though it slows progress but in reality doing a bit. Of everything probably makes you a smoother pilot.

Just keep it 50/50. spend less time inverted. Spending the majority of your flying upside down will inveitably end up causing confusion. I do it on the sim, spend half hour practising inverted and then my upright becomes a bit sloppy
