Was going to get a set of the outrage servos for my x7 build before I ran out of money so I had to go with align. Why not try the HV Outrage tail servo BL9188. Your Jive should be able to punch out 6v to give you .045/60deg on the servo.

The MKS 990 is supposed to be another very good tail servo.

hi ive looked at these but aparently they dont work if pluged into a reciever so not sure if a vbar counts as reciever

Just make sure that whatever you plug it into is capable of being set for 760ms and don't forget to set it that way if you want the servo to survive for long

On my flying fleet, I have....

    1 x Futaba 9256 servo with Futaba GY611 gyro
    1 x Futaba 9256 servo with Spartan DS760 gyro
    1 x Futaba 9251 servo with Spartan DS760 gyro
    1 x JR 8700G servo with Spartan DS760 gyro
    1 x JR 8900G servo with Spartan DS760 gyro

In forwards flight, I can't tell the difference between any of the servos. In the hover, the Futaba GY611 drifts all over the place compared to the Spartans, but I don't think that's the servo's fault.

I think the gyro is more important than the servo. The servo will only do what the gyro tells it to do.

I tried most of the 'top end' ones, BLS251, BLS254, 9256, Jr8900, MKS990, Outrage 9188 and can't really tell much off a difference between them all but my tail servo of choice used to be the BLS254 but now all I seem to be buying are Outrage.

Won't go wrong with any of them I don't think

But as said send it back to rip max to see what they can do. I just got 2 BLS254's back from them all repaired
