Got the main blades fitted and the tail blades. I have a new gyro now so just need to get the cyclic servos. See how cash goes over the next month and may get them and fit them over christmas

Only really got these few pic to update of the rotor head strip down.

When I get chance I will get some pics up of it with the blades fitted. I need to find some tail tube guides for inside the boom before I can finish the full airframe build, almost forgot them

    Just a little update.

Got the gyro in and setup. Have put some basic servos on the cyclic for now. Rx is in going to run off NiMah for now aswell. Just got the finial few bits of setup to work out and try a ground test run. The engine has only be test run after the engine rebuild so will see what happen when it under a bit more load. Will get some more pics sorted and uploaded when I can

Well after having a quick look at this I think I may get my wee Kyosho nexus out and rebuild it for a laugh. I hate the molded on balls and stuff but for a quick fly around hack I may just do it. I have a crashed one to use for spares as I only stopped using this cause I bought a raptor all those years ago.

Anyone interested in a build/revamp thread???

Go for it fella. This has been and still is a really fun project.

The wires all need sorting and tidying up but for an engine run under load I just left them like a rats nest. I took the main shaft out and replaced it with a new one I got in a job lot of spares and that has made a big difference. The head speed is still a little low at the min and the engine very rich.

This was taken up at my mums but ended up not starting it as the starter battery did not have enough power

After a new main shaft the test went very well. Even took her up into a low hover for a few mins When I can I will take her out to field for better hovering and get the throttle and pitch curve set a bit better.

Few more pics with the canopy fitted

When I can I am going to replace both fins. The tail fin looks like someone has taken a machine gun to it Managed to get the wiring tided up a bit today. Hoping to get out for a little fly with it next weekend if the weather is ok.
