Hi guys & gals,
I'm just getting back into heli's (I have 30yrs+ experience of 1/8 nitro circuit cars but not planes) after dabbling with a Shuttle in the 1990's and find myself with a Nexus 30 which I'm completely satisfied with (after I totally refurbished it) despite it's advancing years. I have a sim coming from Santa but being the impatient type I've already figured out how to hover the Nexus without breaking anything and I reckon it's a pretty stable machine.
Anyway, my point is I've read on here some 'not very good' post about Nexus's (Nexi?) - one member even 'hates them with a passion'. Now I'm not qualified to contradict anyone and I respect experienced copter pilots opinion but I would like to know the bad things about these models so I can be prepared for the pitfalls. I know about the plastic ball-ends which wear rapidly so if I can't afford a Zeal swash I'll saw my plastic ones off and fit brass ones but what else do I need to know?
Thanks for reading! Buzz.

... Some hate it, some love it ...Only thing I did not like about it was the wire tail drive on mine , but you can mod it with a torque tube with a little drilling and use the complete tail from a hawk 30
... Just fly it and enjoy .. you will find that once you start into fast forward flight that you want something newer though
