Thread: Gaui 200 V2 My thoughts so far

Just got my Gaui flying (albeit in the front room cus its windy outside) - great fun.

Just need to figure out the csm 420 gyro and set the tail correctly. At the moment too much right Rudder causes the tail linkage to foul on the tail pitch lever bracket. Nice machine though and hope to get allot of fun out of it.

Yea this was what everyone said to me when I brought it, I was expecting a bit of a nightmare so went right through the whole heli loctiting everything, but so far so good.

What I would say is that the canopy is not the most resiliant, I havent crashed it real hard yet but its already cracking and chipping around the mounting points. Fortunatly I'm not a tart and dont care what my heli looks like but for any fashion victims out there, be prepared to be replacing your canopy everytime you swap lipos!

They crash VERY well... i can vouch for that lol

what lipos are you guys using on the Gaui200?

7.4v 800mah or 11.1v?

I have a couple of turnigy 800 7.4V 20C - with not so good flight times - just wondered if would have more flight time with a 11.1v 800mAh 15c?

I'm using the 7.4's, they only give me about 4:30 when I'm running idle up at a flat 100% but I have heard that the 11.1's are a touch on the heavy side with regards COG.

I only fly it now and again for a laugh so I dont mind 4:30 flight times too much.

Probably a good idea to go for the 1000's but I get such a good deal on the Gaui 7.4's it just makes economic sense to simply buy loads of 7.4's.

will try the 1000mah. yeah lipos are cheap. Great little heli - dont have to trek to a field - just zap it around the garden - love it.

Same flight time here with Kong power 2s 900mah 15C. I have 4 of them & what with the same times as my other heli's i'm now used to it.

If it's not windy tomorow i'll get up a vid of me flying it around the garden. I'd do it now but the wife is cooking, hmm maybe she can do it after before it's dark??

Look forward to the garden vid lol. Going to get a hard case for mine. And take it with me when I go away with work. I see buzzflyer do a case for 30quid but are there any cheaper suppliers out there does anyone know, for a propper size case for heli only (not tx too)?

Done a vid yesterday but it only recorded 1 min (the flight was poo anyhow) done a flight a moment ago which was a goodun but there was no sound plus it only recorded just over a minute again. Batt balancing right now & i've deleted a load of stuff off the phone & changed the cam setting so 3rd time lucky................beep beep beep lipo done

Get a new camera and or mobile. Ordered a 250 case from Blink cheaper than FastLad. Not in a rush for it either lol
