    Default Wonky FG12 ??????

My friend has had a couple of bad crashes on landing 2 of his helis.
Investigations show no apart faults on set up.
Just wondered if anyone has had a case of a fg12 going out of calibration.
    Regards
    Paul

Mines worked faultlessly and not heard of any problems with the fg12

Problems of that sort should show up on the output monitor screen athough intermittent faults can be a pig to pick up.
Mine went back to Ripmax twice before it was resolved...first guess/try was a while-I-waited pot replacament and then second time a new motherboard and two weeks soak testing.. a dodgy tx is dangerous.

Sometimes if you suspect something is faulty is to subject it to vibration and try and make the fault permanent.

It just seems to be extremely twitchy on hover so hence suspecting the throttle pot - the guy is a very experienced flyer.
    Its ok in the air.

As said...hover with the output monitor screen on and someone watching it (or even without a heli in the air). If the tx is sending twitchy signals you'll see it there. If the output is stable and heli is dancing them the problem is heli leccy bits.

i have had 2 12fg's and they get a lot of use and no probs here... so if you have a twitch add some expo that will ensure you need alittle more movement to make the model react and as above get the screenwatched or use a sim and same thing this will take the rf link out of the equation and check the sticks and cup first...
