    Default ultimate v1 to v2 ?

Got what i think is a v1 ultimate.

Ive got the ball links sorted but i need some main blade bolts... the ones on mine look like the short ones, bolt doesnt reach the locking part of the nut. anyone know where i can get the new longer ones?

Also what part is it on the tail that needs changing? the slider part itself or the L shape arm that screws to the slider?

while im asking stupid questions.... is it a standard hex starter shaft i need for this heli?

Yeah, I remember the stock blade bolts not being quite long enough. I had some longer ones from some kind of assortment of fasteners I got ages ago.

On the tail, the main thing that is vulnerable is the plastic pitch slider. These can split if they get bumped or something and the ball link will fall out. This happened to mine when I bumped the tail on some uneven ground. There is a metal pitch slider you can get that will bullet-proof that situation, it's the same part on the Raptor 30/50.

I also changed the pitch fork to a metal one at the same time but the stock one is probably fine. The V2 kits changed the tailrotor hub to a different type that uses grub screws on the sides rather than the long grub screws inside the blade grips. Once again the design is the same as the Raptor 30/50V2 and if it is assembled correctly and not over-tightened that type of hub can work perfectly fine. But after some scare stories on various forums ragarding Raptor tails I had already changed the one on my Ely.Q to the steel version with the grub screws on the side.

I never had any issues with the V1 links, but changed them anyway after tales of them splitting.

Yeah that looks like the thing indeed.

There was a free upgrade package that Ely.Q did for the original V1 Vision Ultimates that contained the replacement hub but I don't think they replaced the slider and it was always a potential vulnerable part on the Raptor as well so for such a cheap upgrade it's worth doing.
