I ordered some LiPo batteries for my EFlight Twin Rotor model in early May. For a variety of reasons, mostly Supplier issues into Elite there was a large delay. On Monday of last week, knowing I was into hospital for surgery on Friday 10th, I suggested to Rod that unless my order could be with me prior to my hospital appointment I would think that a rebate on my order would be the best solution. Well, Thursday's post had been and gone with no delivery, so I dropped an email at lunchtime stating that I felt a rebate was now due. I did not check my email and read the forums again until early evening, as I was getting stuff [and myself] ready for a very early start on Friday. Rod had dropped me an email around 1400 hours stating that he would personally deliver my order before he "knocked off" for the day. I sent a reply as soon as I read it suggesting that was not necessary, hoping I was in time to stop him travelling, as it's no 5 minute drive from Kent to Somerset. Well, about 2100 hours the doorbell rang and there stood Rod proffering 5 batteries. I was so "gobsmacked" that I did not even ask him in for a tea/coffee. I did ask where he had driven from and he confirmed Ashford in Kent. WHAT !!!!!!!
Good customer service is one thing, but this was way "over, above and beyond" that. So Rod, please accept my sincere thanks and I do apologise for what could be construed as "rudeness" for my lack of manners in not inviting you in. In over 50 years of modelling/purchasing I have never ever expected such service and have certainly not heard of, never mind achieved, this level of service ever before.
I am now home and this is my first visit into the forums and felt I needed to immediately express my gratitude for this unbelievable level of service. Would I shop there again? Absolutely YES, but I think I might place my order by telephone next time to avoid the dreaded "nil stock" jumping up and biting me in the ar$e. I am currently charging the first battery to get back to some form of flying until I am cleared for "external playtime" in a couple or so weeks.
THANKS VERY MUCH ELITE MODELS, it was an unbelievable experience.
Regards.
Maurice.
