Thread: lowest kv for motor size?

It seems the lowest KV Scorpion makes in thier 4025 range is 550. For anything lower it has to be the bigger 4035 etc.

The Align 600mx is a similar size and has a version in 510kv.

Is there any motor out there in roughly the same size with a lower kv? I assume it has to do with the diameter and how much torque it can produce at a given size.

I want to do a conversion of a nitro heli with limited gearing options. The other route would be to go 10s but I'd rather do 12s if possible.

On of the guys at my club (Manor farm heli) did a conversion like that on hs TT Raptor i'm not sure wot motor he used or esc but it works, cluch stack n all!
