    Dave.
have a look on Varios web site, vario do convertion kit for the sky fox mechanics, like you say you pay vario prices,
but with bigger models it the only way, as the forces in electric motors will shread the main gear if it`s not lined up spot on.
I am converting a vario Lynx to electric, as it has Xcell mechanics in it`s a not as bad as the frame are ally.

    I am using 10s 5000mAh batterys, a scorpion HK3-4535-450KV motor 10 tooth pinon 90 tooth main gear,
I should get a head speed of 1600 at 85% power, I have not desided which ESC to get yet.

Strangely enough, I am looking at converting a huey as well.
Its a friends model, but he never ever flies it as finding a nitro field is a pain in the butt,.
Did a little bit of research, but didnt get anything conclusive, however I got the distinct impression 400kv was about the highest you would want to go with 10S setup.
If you find anything more concrete, please PM me , and I will do the same for you.
