I can't wait to see that logo hitting the tree, bang and it was gone! It was like a fly hitting a wind screen, fair play to all, even though the weather was crap it was a good day, deano you flew my 700 like you stole it, it was cool to see what it can really do, and thanks to all the guys that organised it was the best yet.

The sports results have flipped the Grass Roots results over on it's head. What difference a week can make.

Think a few of the sports guys had either cut the safety line paddy or crashed out.
There was a hellish side / head wind to deal with that caught many pilots out.
Rachael & Ross crashed out very near the end of their 3 mins, & I think Mike Kendel
had a mechanics failure right at the beggining of his flight.

Probably the superglued tail shaft bearing came loose sounds harsh BUT makes me wish even more that i had of got a pass from the boss to attend as it sounds like very challenging conditions & after grass roots nothing scares me lol. I'm even more gutted i've missed this now. Next year i'll have more passes granted .

Nice one James! Pulled out a win in his first comp and only passed his 'B' last week. I think this kid is going to go far.
Thanks Matt and Richie for all the work you have done organising the event along with everyone else who helped or participated.

Gotta admit this was my first Weston ( Helifest/Air ) and it wont be my last, it was a laugh a minute from when I got there until when I left. The weather today was better but even with some of the wet and windy weather over the weekend it did not put alot of people off and all in was an awesome event so big thanks to Richie,Mattie, Grant and all the helpers that made this event what it was over the weekend . Only niggles worth mentioning was the food was not the best/ bit much for what you got and also they could have done with some more toilets, other than that spot on .

    Heres a few pics
