    Default 7HV = Awesome

Got about 10 flights under my belt on the 7HV, and omg is it good.

Was very intimidated by the size at first. Even after flying my Fusion it just seams so much larger, but now after a few flights I'm starting to get happy with the size. Well, happy in that I'm not so sh#t scared of flying it..., well not so much anyway.

It just has so much presence in the sky and the noise off the Edge SE blades, well it's like nothing else I've heard.

When I first got the kit I was really pleased apart from the tail rotor. It looks so weak compared to the rest of the heli. But I'm starting to think the tail rotor makeup is actually just as innovative as the main head. It has no slop, nothin, zero. In the air it's so precise and pyro rate is amazing. What I thought was a negative,, so actually a real positive.

So anyone out there considering a 90 electric, you should definitely consider the 7HV.

Thanks for the write up, if ever I upgrade to a 700 this will be it. I actually replaced the similar tail on my 6hv for a metal rjx One, purely for aesthetics.

Have you got any vids? What gear you running in it?

Nice to hear that, I have 24 flights logged on mine and loved it as well. I even thought of getting rid of my 600ESP that runs on 12s and get the electrics out to build another. The blade fart it makes makes me smile everytime I fly it.

I don't have any vids are the mo, but I'm sure I can fix that.

My 7HV is currently running on a Kontronics 80HV and a scorpion 4035-530 and MKS + Beastx on tail.
I also have a Fusion 50 with exactly the same electronics.

From what I'd read, I was under the impression that the 80HV wouldn't handle the amps, but so far it's been fine. I would however suggest a 5020-520 would be better than a 4035-530.

The electronics in the 7HV came out of a Trex 600ESP. Comparing all three (Fusion, Trex 600ESP and 7HV) running the same electronics was quite an eye opener.

The Trex was bland. Stable , predictable but gave fantastic flight times. Great as a stepping stone.

Fusion. Very lively. Great for 3D, extremely responsive and yet very stable at the same time. Hard to explain as I appreciate stability and responsiveness sound at odds with one another.

7HV. It has so much presence in the air, I was initially to scared to undertake any 3D, but I realised that I'd started undertaking new manoeuvres with the 7HV that I'd not undertaken before (which is a major no no when I have my sensible hat on - I save the trex 500 for that normally). But when it clicks it just clicks I guess.

It's running a kontronics 80HV and Scorp 4035-530 with MKS and beastX.

The electronics came out of a stretched 600ESP running hv. Based on what I'd read, I was expecting that the kontronics 80HV wouldn't be up to the job, but so far I've had no issues. I have installed a heat sink and fan to try and help out as I'm starting to really push my helis now. This is more precautionary that a requirement.

On my setup I would ultimately like a little bit more torque, but this is highly likely to be my batts as they have already served 18 months minimum in the 600ESP so there hardly at their best. Ive ordered some more batts (nanotechs). Either way its full on balls to the wall.

Nice. I really like to 7HVs. I would certainly consider one in future!
