Certainly was a cracking bit of kit Tim with a skookum flybarless system to boot. It realy got a move on & was a shame we didnt have the radar gun with us today.

Shame to see your model in that state, but it looks like it crashes better than the Align 700e. Hope you get her back in the air soon. You can't beat the sim for learning new stuff !!!

Good job i wasnt there would have caused an emptying of my great bucket of scarcasam....

Hi heathy. What a smash mate! Hope the rebuild goes well! At Least your heli was up and running I'm still fighting vib problems at the mo!

Hope Im near now! 1 Blade has a 0.4 deg twist about 2" from the tip ( the other blade is 0 degs all along its length). I found I couldnt get perfect tracking (1-2mm out) i hope this is causing vids that the beastx is picking up and amplifying (I think!) as when I turned pot 1 down (cyclic gain) the vibs reduced alot but it obviously shouldnt be flown like this with pot 1 right down! hope the new blades weston uk are letting me try in combination with some hard thin pads for the gyro will sort it out! The head dampers are so hard in this thing that any vibs from the main blades seem to screw with the beastx! Hope both of us find some luck soon mate!

In my humble opinion the way to do it is either get comfortable with an inverted hover first or practise every kind of bail-out to upright you can think of. I had a somewhat scary crash last year with my Trex 500 where I was just starting to do some inverted circuits but was still really shakey and I don't remember exactly how I did it but I got all wonky in a turn inverted and was quite low to the ground and tried to bail out and ended up somehow with the heli coming straight at me (the actual crash was very minor but it scared the bajesus outta me). What I should have done instead is stayed calm and just brought it up a bit higher into a stable hover, then flipped back to upright. I know that's easier said than done until you get a bit comfortable inverted. I'm still at the point that I won't do any prolonged inverted if it's too windy or poor visibility etc.

I still haven't started to rebuild it yet, been finishing off the 6hv. I had to get a new outrage tail servo too as it wasn't the gears. All good fun

On the good side, at least you have the 6hv to fly as the 7hv is currently for repair. Weather looks ok this Monday and my 7hv will spread it's rotors again as I have not flown for almost a week. Test flight my 500 with new jollybee fusuno canopy and on first flip the tail piro like mad. Could not recover it and end up in the dirt, she's almost repaired now but too windy for Monday's flight. I hope you sort your 7 soon.
