Well, the build has commenced, not necessarily in anger (to coin a phrase). I'm going to take my sweet time on this one, to give me plenty of time to accumulate the radio, servos, gyro etc, as well as getting in plenty of sim time. I need it!
I have photocopied the entire manual such that I can scribble on it as I go to sign off on the build stages. (I was taught it is wrong to write in books - anyone else?) As you can see here, I'm ticking each part as I fit it, annotating the

Well, after seeking much advice, I finally made a decision (much to the relief of a number of forum members I'm sure. I can hear them now; "Will he ever make a decision?")
Here she is - just arrived from Fast Lad (great service once again). Apologies for the bad photo - these Nokia cam phones just don't hold a candle to my Nikon D300!

Here I go with my first ever blog of any kind. It was suggested I start a blog to plot the build of my newly acquired T-rex 500GF.
First a little history:
I started flying RC "planks" out in Abu Dhabi during my time there from '87 to '91. I flew mainly ARTF models made by EZ. I had a great teacher - a colleague by the name of Amyr Qureshi. However, on returning from AUH in '91 I never flew again so sold my kit shortly
Ran all three Lipos today. Practised side-in hover, and managed about 5 secs nose-in
Also practising tighter control on landings.
