Default Now i've done it too............

After careful deliberation I've just placed an order for a Gootch 450 V2 SE kit from Heli's from Devon, Its on its way already

I've been doing a bit of tinternet research on my CP Pro 2 and discovered its a bit of a dinosaur and not really worth doing much with in the way of upgrades which is just as well considering the price of an all Alloy head for it :0

I bought a new main frame as there was some damage to it and also a set of superskids from the U.S of A
Last night i stripped the old frame bit by bit and built up the new one

Just took it outside for its first hover and it feels more stable and now looks like a decent heli rather than having that horrible twig landing gear

Very happy with the results and itching to start building my first 450 sized heli

Nice one Mark, from what I have read on these they are great kits & one of the best align copies out there.

Keep us updated on how the build goes, have you bought the electics for it?

Great kit, electrics I would recommend :

    Savox 0257's on Cyclics
    Align DS520 on Tail
    Standard Align ESC
    Align 450MX Motor
    Align GP750 Gyro

Think that would give you a good base to start

Looks very nice, was thinking about getting one of these. lot of people suggested the Tarot but ya can't get them cos there out of stock, Also i like the idea of a UK supplier so if things are not how they are supposed to be and parts need to be changed its not a round the world trip.
I'd love to afford a trex but can't so a clone supplied here is a great idea.

I could have paid more for a secondhand trex but i'm very happy with what i have here, I think the quality is amazing
I'm shopping for all electrics now, I can hear my wallet begging for mercy

I would agree with Dan, From the research i have done for my build what he suggests is great, the only difference on my list is tower pro 90 servo's and a hobbywing platinum esc.
It's all a compromise of great kit and good value.

For a flybar heli HS65mg servos all the way, never broke one on my 450SEv2.
search for a second hand gyro, with the flybarless craze theres loads going cheap. An Align GP750, Futaba GY520, Spartan Quark, evan a futaba GY401 will happily do the tail job when paired with an align ds520 servo.

I've bought a gp 750 gyro and a ds520 tail servo so far
Is it advisable to have a motor in before the cyclic servos?

I second the hitec65mg's I crashed my 450 countless times and those servos are still strong. I converted mine to fbl with the same servos. Tail servos are more on preference, I use jr ds3500g with 401 when mine is still flybarred.

I'm tempted to go with Align servo's so it all matches, OCD much?
