Default 700E not holding on hard pitch inputs ?

Hi all as the title states my 700E Beast x V3 tail moves round about 9 inch when i give it a hard pitch input, once it moves it then holds through the rest of the move. I run 1950 on the head its got a 650 servo and standard tails with 690,s If i fly it gently not a prob it only full stick moves, standard pitch settings . The beast x does have pitch compensation but I have never had to use it on any of my other models. I have set the tail in not heading mode but this made no diffrence ??

Have a look on youtube, I think the guy is called Gregor Mcgrath from the US. He has videos on how to set them up and talks about a function in the Beast X that tackles your problem.

    See you at Weston!

What size tail blades are you using? The motor has so much torque and without the pitch compensation being fiddled with the tail will never hold. I had this problem with my E7 but put 110mm tail blades on and adjusted the tail compensation then all was well. Firstly though I would assign rate mode to a switch and adjust the tail pushrod so that the tail will stay still in rate mode.

Hi I have set rate mode that was my first thought it worked a treat on my 450 and 550 but made no diffrence on the 700. The blades are 105 mm. I didnt remember the problem being there before but I now give the model a lot more grief than i used to. I may pull the castle logs to see if its bogging ?? The batts are optis but the temp has now gone up a bit and they are starting to puff a bit.

Hi have you set parameters menu 'F' correctly? (tail torque precompensation) pretty sure it wants to be Blue high reverse direction on the Trex 600/700. rule of thumb 'bigger the heli more you will need'

    cheers

Hi I have not added any torque comp I read a set up guide for the beast and it was left off, it has worked for all my smaller models maybe the 700 needs it . The 600 and the 550 did not have a problem ?

The 700 will have a lot more torque than the 450 and 550. Setting the tail pushrod may not make an affect but it will stop the gyro working overtime and will make a slight difference when adding tail compensation.

I had tried all blades from 105-115mm. The 115mm and 110mm work great and feel pretty much the same but i prefer the 110mm as they aren't as long so don't have to jack up the skids.

I would recommend bigger tail blades and getting the beastx usb interface then keep raising it until the tail is solid.

    Hey.

As above its the torque reaction on the fuselage, my 700E with Vbar is seeing it and I'm adjusting the tail pre comp to mix it out.

Your head speed will effect the amount the tail wanders by to, as a higher rotor rpm will give the tail more thrust to deal with the torque reaction. Combined with tail blade length as already advised.
