Strap it down or don't strap it down if it works what ever way you go then all I can say is happy days and have fun flying I will say that the ripmax double sided tape is a more firmer tape and was recommend by climb out,I use it and it works
    Name:double sided tap x2 76x232mm

    Double Sided Tape - 2x 76x232mm

Double sided black foam tape in a large sheet for installing servos, gyros or other items. Manufactured from slightly thicker material, it is ideal for mounting components that need vibration isolation.

It's good to know what works and what doesn't. All I'm pointing out is that the idea of the mounting pad is to isolate the controller from the vibrations. If you strap it down you are connecting the vibrations to the controller. I would think that a more flexible retainer like a rubber band would transmit less vibration. There are a lot of wires going to the controllers and these will transmit vibrations if not flexible. If lots of people have found a simple way that works then I can understand others using it.

MMnn,,,I havent had any problems with the AR7200BX,,but if I do,the obvious solution is to write "V-BAR" across the front of the unit in black felt tip!!
You could also have saved a £250 repair on your goblin if you only flew an msr!,,get a v-bar is a non solution,,like saying your having problems cos its not a t-rex!

    Very interesting reading this.
I have two beastX, one on my 500 and one on my 600n.

I recently "flew" a beastX equipped 700n, which the owner had been flying happily and thought I'd be impressed with. I switched into idleup2 which had a high head speed which the owner had not flown the beastX with and the heli became uncontrollable and I crashed it - panic and unfamiliarity with the switch positions on the tx didn't help.

Dont spend more flying models than it costs to fly for real

Sory to hear that it's one thing having a crash with your own Heli but if it's a mates Heli you always feel double as bad that's why I don't like flying models I don't own as there could always be a maintenance issue.
