    Default BeastX gain problem

Been setting up the Beastx unit on the 500 and it all works fine but it has a side to side tail wag I just cant get rid of. Its a torque tube tail with a DS520 on it.

I set the tail gain to 70% which shows up as light "G" on the beastx unit as the manual recommends, but when I bring it up into a hover I get quite a rapid tail wag of around 4-5cm side to side. If I increase the gain the tail wag gets smaller and faster up till 100% gain where it is only moving around 1-2cm to either side but very fast. If I reduce the gain below the recommended 70% the tail wag gets bigger and slower.

The wag only occurs in heading hold mode, not in normal mode which makes me think its the setup of the beastx not a mechanical issue.

    Any help greatly appreciated

Just about every heli thats been fitted with the Beast at the club has ended up with the gain as low as 30%. My 600n is at 34%. Holds fine with no wag. Whether this indicates that there is something wrong in the geometry I don't know but it seems to work.

70% gain or point "G" on the beastx is relates to around 40% gain on the transmitter, i've tried reducing it but it seems to increase the size of the tail wag but slows it down. I think there must be another setting within the beastx setup that I need to adjust but not sure which one.
