    Default sevo horns

    Hi,

I am at the servo set up stage with my avant and wondered if anyone has ever used or tried align/quick uk metal servo horns for the cyclic servos

Ive never had to pin or sleeve the boom rods on either of mine, although others do. make sure you clean the insides of the boom supports with solvent so the epoxy doesnt break away. As for the heatshrink, put it on the tail rod without shrinking it and position your guides first. then you can shrink it in the right place( centred in the rod guides)

one final question tony, what canoppy mounts do you use on your avant as its a pain in the a$$ taking it off and putting it on with the standard fittings

LOL youll get used to doing that. Ive got the rc booya quick release mounts which are a lot easier than the standard fittings. Make sure you drill the canopy dead centre of the holes too.
Try the quk thumb screws if you dont want to stretch to the booya mounts.
