    Hi guys

I felt I had to mention this, even though it's probably been said before. My current i.c. fleet consists of 2 Century long rangers, 1 TT raptor 60 and 1 Robbe futura super sport. I wanted to standardise on my models and have decided to sell the SS and get another R60.

Anyhow to get to the point, I phoned Skyline to find out a reasonable price I should ask for the SS. At the same time, I have been having some tail wag niggles with the R60, so asked them about that too.

The price they suggested for the SS was about 10 off what I was looking for. As for the R60, they suggested a whole load of things for me to try before I go buying extra bits. The guy I spoke to, (Nick?), also suggested that if I was in the area, I could bring the models in for them to look at.

I was in Oxford, so on the way home stopped off at Skyline. They offered to sell the SS for me (on commission of course) and gave the R60 a look and then we discussed possible changes that could be made to improve its flying. What really impressed me was the fact that they did not try and sell me new bits that I may or may not need, even after I said that I may need them.

To me, this shows a shop that has a genuine interest in modelling and who were prepared to listen to a (relative) novice's questions.

They get my vote for service.

It makes a change to hear about a decent model shop that puts the customer before profit. There seems to be to many willing to bleed you dry of that hard earned cash just to line their own pockets.

Thanks for the recommendation, I will be sure to look them up in the future.

    Cheers, Craig.

Same here. Skyline get my vote too.
I only had done problem with them in many orders and that was due to a supplier that wasnt producing the goods for them when he should have. Even then an apologetic email and occasional telephone call belayed my worries.

        Top service and nice people
