        Hi

Not on the list but the Service and advice is exceptional. Beat the whole Country for price on a Sceadu 50 plus OC 50H. Ordered Monday at about 2pm, arrived Tuesday at about 09:30!

All other parts and advice also excellent. Absolutely cannot fault them.

"Come on guy's, don't let Mid Heli's win this one. " Says TC

          Relax man !!!

It's only a bit of fun.

Dave Whiltshire has no votes - but if you fly X-Cell's you won't get better service / advice anywhere else .

The best personal service from a model shop is my Local Alan Smiths Models of Whitley Bay.
Alan himself has flown for years and there is nothing Tony Cook doesn't know about setting up and Flying Helicopters.
          Dave
If it's not fun, your not doing it right !!

            Hi Chaps.
I hope Dave was a little off the mark when he described the vote for the best service award as being a bit of fun, on the other hand I think he is absolutely right in what he has said on the choice of who you consider should have those nominations.
There are plenty of small model shops out there providing a first class but often unsung service for the local modeling community, and I believe they should have every right to be included in this vote.
Would it not be possible that the choice of the retailer be left open, and to then be nominated as the choice by the voter, this will in effect give that small outlet also giving first class service some much needed publicity.
Skyline, and midland, to name just two, are without a doubt first class for parts in the mail order business, and are already household names, equally to most people that friendly model shop down the road is just as important, and can also be a valuable source of help in setting up your models if you are a beginner or in need of help.
Perhaps some of the small shops nominated will be unknown to most chaps on this site, but in all fairness it does seem a shame that the little man is being squeezed out by those already well known larger outlets.
In my opinion it is a fact that the local model shops are in most cases responsible for your start in this hobby in the first instance, on that understanding we have a lot to thank them for, and should be reminded of their existence.
If it were allowed that your vote could be cast as above, this will go some way to address the balance, and perhaps give some much needed help to that local shop window that cannot be passed without a good look around inside.
            GOOD FLYING.
            Mo.

I suspect that many of those who start the hobby like me started off with the a local hobby shop, I did with Alans in Whitley Bay, but as you get more and more into it and especially with the internet, places like hear and other forums start to get you looking around. Then you discover that other places are more focused on your end of the hobby and thus you end up bouncing back and forth between a select few for most items.

That said these guy's must not be forgotten as I still visit a couple LHS for fuel and bits 'n' pieces.

When you Vote please add a post with an example of what you feel was great service, if the name isn't in the list then do the following:-

                ((((MY NOMINATION WOULD BE))))

Keep it on a line on its own, that way its easier to read. I wil total up all votes from the poll and posts and read each justification. Based on these the decision will be made...

                Does that sound fair...
                Cheers

                  Best Retail Outlet

                  Hi

Well my vote wouldnt be any of the Uk shops listed,

I submit Fung @ flying-hobby in HK as best retailer, he can beat all uk retailers on price and even though they are based in Hong Kong the parts still get here faster than coming from within the Uk

                  Regards
