    Default Swash movement

Silly one but what way should the swash plate move on adding throttle? So when I'm pushing the left stick (throttle pitch) in what direction should the swash be moving UP or DOWN thanks for any replies

    Just finishing the 600

Whichever way gives positive pitch so blades are blowing dowards (trailing edge down of blades) when the stick is pushed upwards. If it does not reverse your swash mix pitch to a negative number.

It depends on the helicopter configuration if the swash goes up or down. Swash up does not always mean positive pitch. It depends on the linkages, trailing or leading edge etc.

This is why I ask as on a old heli I setup a longtime ago it would not come off the ground but when I gave less throttle it would start to come in to a hover.

Scary stuff, I think we've all seen someone with reversed pitch, at least I have scared the crap out of me as I wasn't looking that way!!

The worst thing is when someone adds negative to land, only to have it take off at top speed!

If you want to be 100% sure then go ahead and take pictures of the head at both low and high stick then we can say for sure.

It should be upwards if built as per the manual.

Good to go, but looks like you have more negative pitch than positive. It might just be the camera mind you!

At mid stick you should have 0 degrees blade pitch.
