Default How difficult is to sell a nitro 600?

    Hi all,
I have been advertising to sell my immaculate Trex 600 Nitro FBL Beastx V3 for 2 weeks now with no to little interest archived...
Is it the wrong time of the year or this machine just doesnt sell anymore?....or is it the nitro?
    any advice is welcome
    Thanks

I had a clear out last autumn and was struggling to sell my trex 600 and 700 ready to fly for what i thought were pretty realistic prices. I eventually broke them down and sold all the bits seperately pretty quickly and for more than i had advertised the ready to fly models. People are pretty picky (me included) regarding preferences for servos, fbl controller, motor etc i reckon. Selling individually eliminates this problem ... but is more hassle. Maybe worth a try.

I think the splitting it up method seems to work best. check the forsale section and look at how many guys have had clear outs in the last few weeks, all with some success

Early days yet buddy. Cold fingers are bad enough, but even colder with a coating of 20% nitro on 'em methinks. Wait a while and they'll be ripped out of your hands soon enough. Now if it was leckified, it'd been gone last week IMO.

I thought it was expensive at that, as Ben said its about preference and there would be so much on there that I would just take off and try to sell that its not worth it (for me).

I do tend to buy airframes though because its a good source of spares even if you normally find the bearings are worn. To give you some idea the last 600le Airframe I bought with a flybarred head for £130.

Its all a combination of post Christmas, many people going electric and what it is. With the V2 out and other alternatives it will only appeal to some. Have you got it up on BMFA and dare I say it ebay. Stick a reserve on it and you never know. I've had to let airframes go for little money but that's all they're worth at this time. As some have said you're better off splitting and selling the components.

    OS 50H and pipe £80
Airframe including mains and tails £180
    BeastX £120
    610's £80
    620 £30
    2 in 1 £20
    RCE £20

    Total : £530

See it mounts up if it all sells

I bought a year old Velo50 with a YS50 st & MP5 pipe, 610s on cyclic, 9254 on tail, RJX fbl head, Beastx V2, AR8000,Kokam rx lipo, align reg & gov, original fb head inc align carbon paddles, spare orange undercrackers & matching fins, main n tail blades.......basically bnf!!!! ............and the price.........battered the guy down to £380!!! Flys peachy, just flashed x to v3, can't wait to get the time to try her out again. Everything all good, i was expecting to find issues but none so far!!!! So if you dont want a tight arse like me offering you silly money & convincing you nitros dont sell.......SPLIT IT UP!!!!

    Everything has a price

The market is changing and will get more difficult when peeps start to sell good quality stuff to fund an xxtreeme or goblin

Nitro stuff is getting harder to shift in RTF form

The other thing to consider is it aint a good time to sell anything at the moment unless you price it on the cheap side,
people havn't got a lot of spare cash.
I have been working for myself since 1993 running a small vehicle repair business, I have never exerienced a slow down in previous reccesion periods but I have this time, all the people I talk to in this area (West Midlands) in various busines sectors are all telling me the same thing.
I would hold onto it if your aren't desperate to sell and try again in a couple of months.
