It just hard times I think and as been said many times before the first thing to suffer are the hobby's.

If you are desperate to sell then it will go just for a lot less than you want, if you are not just hold it and wait. I got models up for sale to fund another heli but I'm not desperate to sell so they will sit there until they go. 1 which was RTF I have split down as I'll get more for it and bits already gone, the airframes whcih are both nigh on new I will add can wait

seems im going other way to most fed up of eletrics.battery charging times having to swap out batty packs so often etc and going nitro main problem is what price you might think is bargain isn't what buyers would way.

hard times even harder times ahead means u have trouble selling complete as a whole nitro or battery because people just can't aford it unless it at silly money.

My local model shop has sold all his secondhand nitro helis recently, he sells them for customers and makes a few quid himself, it is not a good time too sell, and these freezing conditions only makes it worse.....

as has been said before Electric helis are the "in Thing" at the moment
nitro is still about, but not how it used to be the price of batteries now means that electric 50 and 90 size machines are easy to purchase and with the cost of batteries and chargers falling its easierto maintain a fleet of electrics

also there are a few people mainly on the BMFA that do stick both helis and planes up for ridiculous amounts and i think it puts people off looking at the adverts

so really you have a few choices

    1) sell it cheaper
    2) strip it and sell as much as possible and then ebay the rest
    3) keep it for when things change

Also you need to be realistic in what you are trying too sell, I have a raptor 90 with pretty good stuff on board, but its worth bugger all, it will end up in the shed no doubt one day, but I enjoyed doing it up, I have also got a 600 for what it is worth it is not worth selling, may as well fly the heli until it joins the raptors down the garden in the shed, the sheds big enough for all my heli stuff that I have no more need of.................

quite agree, although one day maybe raptor 90's will become retro and their value will go up !!

there are loads of Trex 600's about and without being rude yours is just the same as the rest, on ebay a couple of weeks ago a fully align kitted out Trex 600NSP FB with DX7 sold for £375.00

now there is hardly any difference between a NSP and a LE,

so if i had bought that heli for £375, i could expect about £90-£100 from selling on the DX7 tx, so that leaves me with a NSP for £275 ish, so its not going to cost me £275 to find a FBL head and beast X esecially as i can then resell the gyro and FB head
so realitically i could end up with the same heli as you are trying to sell for at least £100 less

as a few people on here know i have been selling helis and parts for the last year or so now, most of which was brand new and unused and the last few months since about early november there has been a definate slow down in things selling, maybe time of year, maybe xmas, maybe shortage of funds in general

its not just helis, Tx's have dropped and planes arent worth anywhere near what they were a while back

you can pick up fully kitted EF 50cc extras for £700 now 6 months ago they would fetch £900-£1000, the kit alone brand new is £650.00

another consideration with a fully kitted heli is that most experienced flyers (and it doesnt really matter who built it originally) will rebuild the heli to check that it is to their satisfaction, so with this is mind is any heli really bind anf fly ???, maybe bind and fly after a strip down and threadlock check and service is a truer statement

What i was actually alluding to was the buyer that told Luca that he would come and pick it up, they agreed on a price and not much happend since.Depressed market or not, there seem to be a lot of time wasters about. My opinion is if you dont want something or if you have changed your mind, at least have the courtesy to tell the seller you are no longer interested.

All depends on what quality you want as said can get a kitted 600 for £375 but what condition, I wanted like new and got a 4 flight old 600 LE literely new condition but it cost me! I looked around at uthers and could of got one for way under £400 but they wernt what I wanted condition wise .People will only pay what they want to no matter what it's worth.

For me, kit prices can be bought a hell of a lot cheaper now brand new. It makes buying second hand pointless IMO.

Electric is definitely the 'in thing' at the moment, can't really see me going back to nitro though...

I think it needs to be said just coz electric is the in thing at the moment all you beginners out there shouldn't disregard nitro as a step up in to the world of larger Helis as most but not all people goin large electric are flying advanced 3d. It's people saying NITROS dead that will make it be. There will always be a reason for goin electric if that be coz your following everyone els or weather it suits your club or your avalible fly time witch Eva its your choice nitro is not DEAD .
