Having some with the Hubsan X4 Quad.... got mine from here.... http://www.models4hobby.co.uk/Hubsan-X4.html
Well after 2 years and only 12 flights I’ve sold my 500ESP. The hassle of charging and maintaining batteries was just too much. With my nitros I can charge my receiver pack ( 15 minutes) load the car and be at the flying field in 25 minutes. I can then fly 5 tanks back to back. I think Nitro will be around for some time yet and Align will be there

Well, even if Align did stop Nitro - of which they have gained a good market share, I don't see how that would affect the existing customer range - given the bulk of the spare parts in supply. It would not be completely senseless if this 'rumour' actually was to be true, with the off-late inclination of the hobby toward the leccys. I'm not saying one is better than the other here nor am I implying anything to it's benefit, but in all honesty - more power, environment friendliness and cheaper (and really good) packs do speak for themselves - and that too loudly! Globalisation has played it well here.

Its like balsa and control line. Nitro will keep going. All the money is going into batteries. Lots of progress to come. Petrol has no future as a fuel. Just needs fusion to get sorted. Only going to take 30 years. That's what they said 30 years ago.
I don't know why they worry about running out of fuel though. Plenty of methane out there. Once we get there and give it a push it'll give us energy as well on the way back.
Future can't be predicted though. Not that long ago they said the USA needed three computers. You don't really know what's coming 'till you've bought it.
I remember people worrying that computer users would just play with their computers and not talk to anyone else.

I've only just got into helicopters and I've not even flown my 700n yet, but I know this won't happen... not until nitro is banned. There are too many people who love nitro... the sound, the smell and the smoke. Granted, you can get smoke from an electric one, but only when a LiPo bursts into flames
If I didn't have the choice of nitro when I bought mine, I wouldn't have bought any... maybe it's an old man thing.
What happend to the petrol 700 they were developing
its been 2 years now ????????
