    Default 3gx yes or no

    It's a tricky topic
Now I've have never had a problem with them, but I all way say if it's not brok don't fix it. It seems that all the chaps in my club that have had problems with them are all ways messing around with them.
I've never had a problem with myn all I have ever done is take it out the box put it in heli set it up and that's it
Or have I just been lucky

It seems you have to be lucky with them. I have one on my 450, install and fly. No issues at all. A few weeks ago i maidened my 550. Had backwards drift, and not a little too! Fiddled with it for more than a week, tried everything suggested, nothing helped. Decided not to waste time on it. Now i have the ar7200bx on the 550. Imo, much more locked in and precise. And the greatest thing of all: NO drifting!
I still like the 3gx on my 450 too. If it works right it's a good unit imo.

I have drift on my 500 but only on v2.0 software not on 1.1 or 1.2 it's extremely annoying. Thinking about just scrapping the 3gx and getting a vbar - don't really hear any bad reports about that.

I might try going back to 1.2 but the constant backwards drift is very bad. Often if I'm doing barrel rolls in forward flight the Heli is nose up by the time I've completed the roll!

Got rid of the drift on my 550e 3gx, just reverted to 1.1, also changed settings back to NORMAL from EXPERT mode as its simply too sensitive as despite playing round with the parameters really felt I wasn't in 100% control.

I have had backwards drift in my 600 pro with all the versions of the 3gx, V1.1, 1.2 and 2. It flew really great but dropped the tail by quite an amount a couple of minutes into the flight.

Fitted a mini vbar and flew it today. The software is easy to follow and it flies fantastic. Really impressed!
I just wanted to fly and not tweak the settings all day.

Will keep the 3gx and look into converting my flybar 500.
