Im aware theres been alot of congratulation for Tim for his result in the competition which is thoroughly deserved!

I feel Matt ( thekidfrankie) hasn't had the credit he deserves through this forum though. The amount of effort he has put in since 3d championships 2009 is incredible. So id just like to say my well done to him as i hope you will do too.

By the way if there is a thread where this has happened please let me no

You may have missed it in the 3D Scotland thread George, but he deserves another thread all the same!

    Congratulations once again Matt!
    Cheers,

Any win is not an easy thing to accomplish - so full credit to Matt in doing so.

I just watched a video of Matt flying at Scotland and was amazed at how much he has improved since the last time I saw him fly (and he was already pretty damn good )

Amazing flying and a well deserved Win I reckon.

Great stuff Matt and congrats on the win

    Thumbs up

    Well said George.

Matt has worked his arse end off getting to the standard he acheaved last weekend.

I spoke to him several times over the weekend stating how much his flying has improved.

After his freestyle I told him I hadnt seen better over the weekend, The judges must have thought the same.

A worthy winner IMO so well done Matt.

PS George: Its time you got your arse back in the field you lazy git.

I fly with him almost every weekend so I see first hand how many hours and how much Optifuel he burned to get there!

Huge congratulations to the man and I hope he does well at the 3D champs as well!!!

I think it's worth pointing out that I came 6th and it was my first competition too! Lol, congratulations to all competitors who took part, they all played a part in making it an event to remember, and well done to them all, it takes a lot of balls to enter either if you're a beginner or a seasoned pro on the competition circuit. Matt also put on one of the most amazing victory flights I have ever seen.

I agree , well done Matt .. TBh its congrats to all the pilots that entered not just the seasoned pilots ( was going to write pros but someone would have seen something in that bit that was not there lol ) but also the grass roots and inters as well .. Takes alot of dedication and balls to get your ass up there and compete ... After seeing the vid of Matt fly can see why he won ... wonder how much fuel he goes through tho lol....

    Default 3D Scotland champion 2010

Here's a picture of Matt I've pinched from Stu's gallery.

Matt has worked tirelessly on his flying since the outset of the 3D Get-togethers which re-kindled his enthusiasm some 3 years ago. His determination and dedication is second to non and resulted in a very well deserved victory.

I'm sure Matt will continue in the 3D Get-together tradition which is all about 'Inclusion' not 'exclusion' whereby we spread the word and share our experiences with all the community.

Well Done Matt you did us all proud.

I don't know Matt at all but we fought it out in intermediates last year and I am genuinely really pleased to see him get the win.

I've got great respect for anyone that sets and out and achieves their goals like Matt has.

There are some great people in this hobby and we should all count ourselves lucky we are able to be involved!

Well done mate ad look forward to seeing you at champs

James the Victory flight was incredible, how on earth he managed not to crash that heli I will never know! At one point he was trimming the thistles and he said he felt the heli getting pulled into them lol

    Exclamation Simon Scott

A gentle reminder while we are on the subject that Simon Scott who won the intermediattes seems to have slipped the net too.

He put on a dazzling display so watch out the experts, Simon is no mug and will be battling it out with you guy's too very soon.

Worth noting that both Grass Roots and Intermediattes classes were won by "Mode 1" pilots.

    Matt is Mode 2.
