I went last year and it was a great day, well worth the long drive! I'll be there again this year.

Hey P4ddy, like I said today - you are exactly what this comp needs. Watching you fly today I reckon you'd better get in this year as it'll be inters for you next year!

As a thank you to my mate Jamie for pushing me into this, I have offered him my TDR to do a lunch time demo. Thought it would be nice for people who have not seen a TDR fly, and good for me to see it fly properly!!

Paddy the entrance form will come in the next few weeks. We wanted to gauge interest before we officially open for entry. This will be through the 3D Champs site as before.

Guys can I just get this back on track, it's about whether there is enough interest in holding the event, not skill level or who has won or not in the past, that is down to the judging. There has only been 2 Grass Roots events at MK the first won be Pete and the second by Connor so not too much history to be worrying about.

OK back on track, I just want to say whatever your skill level the thril and satisfaction you get from taking part in somthing like this is huge , as in massive.

If you are even thinking about putting in an entry then do it , get it done and join the band of guys and girls who make this hobby what it is.

Last years MK was a blast and to have the coaching of the judges was a huge help .

Not everyone can piro doodle whatsit around the sky , so what , even a loop and roll can be used .

Rob Barnes and I didn't even think it was going to be run so he's entering (no going back now Rob ) and so will I .

Come on everyone lets make this one happen.

I am getting excited allready .

Rachel (almost last MK grass roots 2011)

Unfortunately,i missed out on the opertunity to compete at grassroots level.I went straight in at the deepend into inters comps.
The Grassroots is about gaining the experience of flying in competition,in frount of a few people, with less stress than many of the other comps. And believe me they are stressfull!.
If you are thinking of competing in any way in the future, you owe it to yourselfs to start at this level. The earlier the better, and i would also say if you are thinking about it you are 100% ready.
Its very likely that a pilot who is good enough to do well in inters will win....,we cant do much about that but its the competitors who went out there and had a go that i remember the most, and they are the pilots who gain the most from this comp.

I missed out,on an easier route into comps, make sure you dont.....
