Hi all i really think if you have the guts to enter a competion then you are a winner no matter where you place in the comp there is no last place !!! Ientered grass roots this year in scotland and when i got over i did not know what to expect ,but i done better than i ever dreamed of and i got a real taste for competion, so if you love flying and can attend a comp go on take the plunge and enter trust me after it is over you will want to do it all again ,whats the worst that can happen !!! A CRASH they happen anyways

And i'd like to thank Tony (Sesame) for being my B Certificate caller at the MK Grass Roots Comp, i'm sure i kept him amused with my flying in the wind!!! It was sort of centralised, well it was in the same field anyway !! lol

Cheers Chris, thanks for the "Tap", I do intend to enter next year.
I can see an issue immediately if it were part of a flyin and we are lucky enough to be asked by 3D Champs to host it next year. Our club flyin follows approximately a month after the Grass Roots competition. This would impact us and our flyin for sure, I don't think there is a club out there that would be prepared to host 2 flyins within a month of each other. We allow flying on the Friday afternoon to get used to the site and your more than welcome to use the club after the flyin for a bit of a funfly. We share the site with a gun club so full weekends are few and far between.

I actually don't think there is anything wrong with the format as it is, it's fun primarily, theres no prize so no one entering as a ringer, the format is relaxed and the only one to put pressure on you is yourself.
